The Lesson Planning Guide gives teachers an overall framework for the unit, but you will need to plan which activities you will do in each class period. Will you use the Student Book, the Workbook, a fluency activity from the Teacher's Resource Book, or maybe a video segment? Consider the time you have available, and how much material your students will be able to cover in that period.

Think about your overall goals for the lesson. What should your students be able to do at the end of the lesson? A lesson might focus on a particular skill, a group of vocabulary items, a structure, or a function.

Teaching Tip

  • You will need to be selective about which World Link activities you can cover in each class period.
