Here is a procedure you can use to present the key items in a Vocabulary Link section.

First, have students read the words. Next, pronounce the word for the students. After that, have students repeat the word several times.

Then explain the word. You can use visuals such as pictures or props, demonstrate by miming, explain the meaning in simpler English, have students look it up in a bilingual dictionary, or give them a translation.

Students are then ready to do the vocabulary activities that follow, which give more practice with the new items.
