Here is one way to work with the model conversations in World Link.

First, have students listen to the conversation with books closed. Before listening, write a comprehension question on the board; play the conversation and check the answer.

Then play the conversation again for students to listen and repeat. Go over any difficult vocabulary.

Next, have students practice the conversation with a partner, using the read / look up / speak technique. Finally, if you like, you can have students write their own conversations.
