Extensive reading means reading longer passages on topics of interest for general understanding. World Link students can practice extensive reading with graded readers, or with simple native-speaker materials such as comic books.

Carried out during class time or as homework, it is it is an effective way to develop and practice reading skills. If possible, students should be allowed to choose their own reading material from the selection available, and instead of being assigned a set number of pages, should be encouraged to read the maximum they can.
