There are some simple activities you can do after reading that will help students get more out of what they read. You can have the class write their own comprehension questions. Have groups or pairs write a set number of comprehension questions about the passage. Have them exchange questions with another group, then return their answers for checking and correction. You can also collect the students' questions and write them on the board or an overhead transparency and use them as a quiz.
