The Pronunciation activities in World Link do not aim to make students sound like native speakers. Rather, they aim to make students' pronunciation sound natural and comprehensible to a wide international audience. Research has found that teaching suprasegmental features, rather than individual sounds, is the most effective approach for this goal. World Link's pronunciation syllabus focuses on suprasegmental features such as word stress, sentence stress, rhythm, intonation, reduced forms, and linking.
