Listen to Audio

An extra listening activity that's very simple to prepare is the "story with mistakes." This activity can be done with a reading or listening passage the students have worked with very recently, or with a story or news event they all know well. Tell the class that you are going to tell them about the story or event, but some details won't be quite right. Every time they hear a mistake, they should put their hands up. Call on one student to correct it and then continue with the story. You can also have all students note and correct the mistakes on paper, then check after you finish the story-- just be sure to keep notes.
