Instructions to obtain college credit and a Certificate of Completion: Specialist in English Language Learning and Teaching from Chapman University College

Chapman University College is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

These professional development units are not part of a degree program but instead are primarily used for professional advancement. Participants should seek approval of appropriate district or college officials before enrolling in these courses to satisfy any degrees, state credentials, or local school district requirements.

To obtain 20 elective credits for 10 ELT Advantage courses, and the Chapman University College Certificate of Completion: Specialist in English Language Learning and Teaching:

  1. Notify Phyllis Dobbins phyllis.dobbins@cengage.com that you are enrolling the Chapman Certificate program.
  2. Print out and complete the Chapman Enrollment Form . You can enroll in as many as you wish on one Chapman Enrollment Form. You will need to successfully complete 10 courses in a 12-month period from the start of your first ELT Advantage course.
  3. Mail or fax the Chapman Enrollment Form, with $100 payment per course, to Chapman University College, as instructed on the form.
  4. Click here to enroll in the ELT Advantage online courses. Courses begin every month and run for six weeks. You must successfully complete 10 courses in 12 months from the start of your first course.
  5. As you complete each course, notify Phyllis Dobbins (phyllis.dobbins@cengage.com) so that your grade can be reported to Chapman University College.
