About The Authors

Keith Folse
Keith Folse is associate professor of TESOL at the University of Central Florida. His main research interests are vocabulary and best practices in teaching grammar and composition. He has written over fifty language books, most recently Keys to Teaching Grammar to ELLs (University of Michigan Press) and the new edition of five books of the Great Writing series (Heinle Cengage).

April Muchmore-Vokoun
April Muchmore-Vokoun is a faculty member in the English for Academic Purposes Department at Hillsborough Community College (HCC) in Tampa, Florida. She has taught in intensive English, college-level, and worksite study ESL programs. Her current academic interests include reading and writing skills as well as listening-speaking strategies. Additionally, she has had extensive experience in the areas of international student advising and event programming.

Elena Vestri Solomon
Elena Vestri Solomon is currently a lecturer in the B. Ed program for future teachers in Abu Dhabi's Emirates College for Advanced Education. She received her MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of South Florida, Tampa, and has lived and worked in Italy, Spain, France, Hungary, Romania, Uzbekistan, and UAE. She has authored/co-authored over a dozen academic textbooks in composition, grammar, and listening/speaking/note-taking.

Tison Pugh
Tison Pugh is Associate Professor of English and Director of the Ph.D. Program in Texts and Technology at the University of Central Florida. He has published six books and essay collections on literature, film, and pedagogy. In 2004 and 2009, he won an Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award from UCF's College of Arts and Humanities, and in 2006, he won both UCF's Teaching Incentive Program Award and Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award.

David Clabeaux
David Clabeaux has taught developmental English, with a focus on grammar, at the middle school, high school, and collegiate levels. He received his BA in English from the University of Buffalo. He currently owns a small marketing firm, gives lectures on Internet marketing strategies to small to mid-sized businesses, and is working on his third book.
