Next, click on My Courses tab and you will see ETS Data Gathering -- Phase 1. Click on ETS Data Gathering and the next screen will appear Then click on Teacher Voice Questionnaire (A) as seen in this example. Each participant will receive a different version of the test, so your version may be Teacher Voice Questionnaire (B) or (C). Then click on Test A Now click on the test that appears under Table of Contents. In the example below, this is Test A. Before you actually start the recording portion of the test, you will be presented with instructions for testing the recording quality which is a function of your microphone and your own speech. It is critical to the success of this test and your recording that you follow the best practices outlined above. Doing so will ensure your audio test will be a success. Microphone Check Before you start your test, you will be asked to complete a microphone check. Please follow the on screen instructions. You will be asked to record a voice sample and then play it back to yourself to make sure you created a good quality audio recording. Listen to your recording. If it is not clear, repeat the process until you are satisfied with your own recording before moving to the next screen. ![]() Once you've completed the microphone audio check, you'll be able to advance forward into the test.
